यह सामने वर्तमान लता मधुर रस से युक्त भूमि में उत्पन्न हुई है. मैं इसे मधुर रूप वाले फावड़े आदि की सहायता से खोदता हूं. तू मुझ से उत्पन्न हुई है. तू हमें भी मधु रस से युक्त बना. (१)
This present vine originated in the land containing sweet juices. I dig it with the help of sweet-formed shovels etc. You are born of me. You also made us rich in honey juice. (1)
हे मधु लता! तू मेरी जीभ के अग्र भाग पर शहद के समान स्थित हो तथा जीभ की जड़ में मधु रस वाले मधु नामक जल वृक्ष के फूल के रूप में वर्तमान रह. तू केवल मेरे शरीर व्यापार में लग तथा मेरे चित्त में आ. (२)
O Madhu Lata! You should be located like honey on the front of my tongue and present in the root of the tongue as a flower of a water tree called Honey with honey juice. "You are only my body in business and come into my mind." (2)
हे मधु लता! तुम्हें धारण करने से मेरा निकट गमन दूसरों को प्रसन्न करने वाला हो तथा मेरा दूर गमन दूसरों को प्रसन्न करे. मैं वाणी से मधुयुक्त हो कर तथा समस्त कार्यो के द्वारा मधु के समान बन कर सब के प्रेम का पात्र बनू. (३)
O Madhu Lata! By wearing you, may my close journey be pleasing to others and may my distance move please others. I should become like honey by speech and become like honey through all actions and become the object of love of all. (3)
हे मधु लता! मैं तुझ से उत्पन्न होने वाले शहद से भी अधिक मधुर हूं. मैं शहद टपकाने वाले पदार्थ से भी अधिक मधुर हूं. तुम निश्चय ही केवल मुझे उसी प्रकार प्राप्त हो जाओ, जिस प्रकार शहद वाली डाल के पास लोग पहुंच जाते हैं. (४)
O Madhu Lata! I am sweeter than the honey you produce. I am sweeter than a honey-dripping substance. You must only receive Me in the same way as people reach the branch of honey. (4)
