मैं महान और जातवेद अग्नि के लिए प्रज्वलित होने का साधन समिधाएं लाया हूं. समिधाओं से वृद्धि को प्राप्त जातवेद अग्नि मुझे श्रद्धा और बुद्धि प्रदान करें. (१)
I have brought samidhas, the means of ignition, for the great and jataveda agni. May the Jataveda agni give me reverence and wisdom to get growth from the samidhas. (1)
हे अग्नि! मैं तुम्हारे लिए जो यज्ञ के योग्य और यज्ञ के अयोग्य काष्ठ लकड़ी प्रदान करता हूं, वह सब मेरे लिए कल्याणकारी हो अर्थात् उन से मेरा कल्याण हो. हे अतिशय युवा अग्नि! तुम मेरे द्वारा दिए गए काष्ठ लकड़ी को स्वीकार करो. (३)
O agni! All the woodwood that I provide for you, worthy of yajna and unfit for yajna, should be beneficial to me, that is, my welfare from them. O very young agni! You accept the wood wood given by me. (3)
हे अग्नि! मैं तुम्हारे लिए ये समिधाएं लाया हूं. उन समिधाओं के द्वारा तुम प्रज्वलित होओ. तुम हम सब में आयु और जीवन का आधान करो. तुम हमारे उपाध्याय के लिए अमृत प्रदान करो. (४)
O agni! I have brought these committees for you. You are ignited by those committees. You infuse age and life into all of us. You provide nectar to our Upadhyay. (4)
