अथर्ववेद (कांड 3)
ह॑रि॒णस्य॑ रघु॒ष्यदोऽधि॑ शी॒र्षणि॑ भेष॒जम् । स क्षे॑त्रि॒यं वि॒षाण॑या विषू॒चीन॑मनीनशत् ॥ (१)
तेज दौड़ने वाले काले हरिण के सिर में जो सींग रूपी रोग निवारक ओषधि है, वह मातापिता से आए हुए क्षय, कुष्ठ, मिरगी आदि का पूर्णतया नाश करे. (१)
The horn-like disease-preventive medicine in the head of a fast-running black deer should completely destroy decay, leprosy, epilepsy etc. from the parents. (1)
अथर्ववेद (कांड 3)
अनु॑ त्वा हरि॒णो वृषा॑ प॒द्भिश्च॒तुर्भि॑रक्रमीत् । विषा॑णे॒ वि ष्य॑ गुष्पि॒तं यद॑स्य क्षेत्रि॒यं हृ॒दि ॥ (२)
हे मृगशृंग! तुम्हें क्षेत्रीय रोगों का विनाश करने के लिए मैं ने मणि के रूप में धारण किया है. इस रोगी के हृदय में जो रोग बसे हुए हैं, तुम उन का विनाश करो. (२)
O deer! I have worn you as the gem for destroying regional diseases. Destroy the diseases that are settled in the heart of this patient. (2)
अथर्ववेद (कांड 3)
अ॒दो यद॑व॒रोच॑ते॒ चतु॑ष्पक्षमिव छ॒दिः । तेना॑ ते॒ सर्वं॑ क्षेत्रि॒यमङ्गे॑भ्यो नाशयामसि ॥ (३)
यह चार कोनों वाला मृगचर्म चौकोरी चटाई के समान सुशोभित हो रहा है. हे रोगी! इस केद्वारा मैं तेरे क्षय, कुष्ठ आदि रोगों का नाश करता हूं. (३)
This four-cornered antelope is adorned like a square mat. O patient! Through this, I destroy your diseases like decay, leprosy etc. (3)
अथर्ववेद (कांड 3)
अ॒मू ये दि॒वि सु॒भगे॑ वि॒चृतौ॒ नाम॒ तार॑के । वि क्षे॑त्रि॒यस्य॑ मुञ्चतामध॒मं पाश॑मुत्त॒मम् ॥ (४)
आकाश में स्थित विचृत नामक दो तारे क्षय, कुष्ठ, मिरगी आदि क्षेत्रीय रोगों का विनाश करें. (४)
Two stars named Vichrit located in the sky destroy regional diseases like decay, leprosy, epilepsy etc. (4)
अथर्ववेद (कांड 3)
आप॒ इद्वा उ॑ भेष॒जीरापो॑ अमीव॒चात॑नीः । आपो॒ विश्व॑स्य भेष॒जीस्तास्त्वा॑ मुञ्चन्तु क्षेत्रि॒यात् ॥ (५)
जल ही ओषधि है. जल ही सब रोगों का नाश करने वाला है. जल किसी एक रोग की नहीं, समस्त रोगों की ओषधि है. हे रोगी! जल तुझे क्षय, कुष्ठ, मिरगी आदि क्षेत्रीय रोगों से छुड़ाएं. (५)
Water is medicine. Water is the destroyer of all diseases. Water is not a medicine of any one disease, but of all diseases. O patient! Water should free you from regional diseases like decay, leprosy, epilepsy etc. (5)
अथर्ववेद (कांड 3)
यदा॑सु॒तेः क्रि॒यमा॑णायाः क्षेत्रि॒यं त्वा॑ व्यान॒शे । वेदा॒हं तस्य॑ भेष॒जं क्षे॑त्रि॒यं ना॑शयामि॒ त्वत् ॥ (६)
हे रोगी! अन्न का यथाविधि उपयोग न करने के कारण तेरे शरीर में जो क्षय, कुष्ठ, मिरगी आदि क्षेत्रीय रोग उत्पन्न हो गए हैं, मैं चिकित्सक उन की जौ आदि के रूप में ओषधि जानता हूं. उस ओषधि के द्वारा मै तेर क्षेत्रीय रोगों का विनाश करता हूं. (६)
O patient! Due to not using food properly, the regional diseases like tuberculosis, leprosy, epilepsy etc. that have arisen in your body, I know the medicine in the form of doctor's barley etc. Through that medicine, I destroy your regional diseases. (6)
अथर्ववेद (कांड 3)
अ॑पवा॒से नक्ष॑त्राणामपवा॒स उ॒षसा॑मु॒त । अपा॒स्मत्सर्वं॑ दुर्भू॒तमप॑ क्षेत्रि॒यमु॑च्छतु ॥ (७)
तारों के छिपने के समय अर्थात् उषाकाल से पूर्व और उषाकाल के समय किए गए स्नान आदि नित्य कर्मों के प्रभाव से रोगों का कारण दूर हो जाए. इस के पश्चात हमारे क्षय, कुष्ठ, मिरगी आदि क्षेत्रीय रोग नष्ट हो जाएं. (७)
At the time of hiding of the stars i.e. bathing done before Ushakaal and at the time of Ushakal, the cause of diseases should be removed due to the effect of daily activities. After this, our regional diseases like tuberculosis, leprosy, epilepsy etc. should be destroyed. (7)
