अथर्ववेद (कांड 6)
यशो॑ ह॒विर्व॑र्धता॒मिन्द्र॑जूतं स॒हस्र॑वीर्यं॒ सुभृ॑तं॒ सह॑स्कृतम् । प्र॒सर्स्रा॑ण॒मनु॑ दी॒र्घाय॒ चक्ष॑से ह॒विष्म॑न्तं मा वर्धय ज्ये॒ष्ठता॑तये ॥ (१)
हमारे द्वारा इंद्र के उद्देश्य से दी हुई अपरिमित सामर्थ्य से युक्त, भलीभांति वर्तमान एवं हजारों को पराजित करने वाले बल को देने वाली हवि की वृद्धि हो. हे इंद्र! उस हवि की वृद्धि के पश्चात मुझ हवि देने वाले यजमान को चिरकाल तक होने वाले दर्शन और श्रेष्ठता के लिए बढ़ाओ. (१)
May there be an increase in the power of the immense power given by us to indra's purpose, the well-present and the force that defeats thousands. O Indra! After the growth of that havi, extend the host who gives me to the eternal vision and superiority. (1)
