स॒मु॒द्रे त्वा॑ नृ॒मणा॑ अ॒प्स्व१॒॑न्तर्नृ॒चक्षा॑ ईधे दि॒वो अ॑ग्न॒ ऊध॑न् । तृ॒तीये॑ त्वा॒ रज॑सि तस्थि॒वांस॑म॒पामु॒पस्थे॑ महि॒षा अ॑वर्धन् ॥ (३)
हे अग्नि! मानव-हितैषी वरुणदेव ने तुम्हें सागर के मध्यस्थित जल में प्रज्वलित किया. मानवों को देखने वाले सूर्य ने तुम्हें आकाशरूपी स्तन में जलाया. तुम्हारा तीसरा स्थान मेघों के बीच जल में है. महान् देव तुम्हें बढ़ाते हैं. (३)
O agni! The human-friendly Varundev ignited you in the middle water of the ocean. The sun that sees humans lit you in a celestial breast. Your third place is in the water between the clouds. The great God increases you. (3)
