सामवेद: | खंड: 8
क्रत्वा महाँ अनुष्वधं भीम आ वावृते शवः । श्रिय ऋष्व उपाकयोर्नि शिप्री हरिवां दधे हस्तयोर्वज्रमायसम् ॥ (५)
हे इंद्र! आप भीम (भीषण बलवान) हैं. फिर भी आप सोमरस का पान कर के अपने बल की बढ़ोतरी करते हैं. आप सुंदर हैं. आप सिर पर अच्छी पगड़ी धारते हैं. आप रथ में घोड़ों को जोतते हैं. आप दाएं हाथ में वज्र को कड़े की भांति धारण करते हैं. (५)
O Indra! You are Bhim (fiercely strong). Still, you increase your strength by drinking someras. You are cute. You hold a good turban on the head. You till horses in the chariot. You hold the thunderbolt in the right hand like a stiff. (5)
