यजुर्वेद (अध्याय 1)
अग्ने॑ व्रतपते व्र॒तं च॑रिष्यामि॒ तच्छ॑केयं॒ तन्मे॑ राध्यताम्।इ॒दम॒हमनृ॑तात् स॒त्यमुपै॑मि ॥ (५)
हे अग्नि! आप संकल्पशील हैं. आप हमें भी ब्रतशील बनाने की कृपा कीजिए. आप की कृपा से हम यह धन (ब्रत रूपी) और असत्य से सत्य को पा सकें. (५)
O agni! You are determined. Please make us bratsheel too. By your grace, we can get this wealth (in the form of Brat) and the truth from untruth. (5)
