अध्याय 17 → मंत्र 38 - संस्कृत मंत्र, हिंदी अर्थ और English translation

यजुर्वेद:
गो॒त्र॒भिदं॑ गो॒विदं॒ वज्र॑बाहुं॒ जय॑न्त॒मज्म॑ प्रमृ॒णन्त॒मोज॑सा। इ॒मꣳ स॑जाता॒ऽअनु॑ वीरयध्व॒मिन्द्र॑ꣳ सखायो॒ऽअनु॒ सꣳर॑भध्वम् ॥ (३८)
हे देवगण! आप गो नाशकों का भेदन करने वाले, गौओं को जानने वाले, वज्र जैसी भुजाओं वाले और जीतने बाले हैं. ओज से शत्रुओं के नाशक हैं. आप इंद्र को वीरों के योग्य कायां के लिए उत्साह दिलाएं, आप स्वयं भी उन का अनुकरण करें. हम इंद्र देव के सखा हैं. (३८)
O Gods! You are the one who penetrates the destroyers of cows, those who know the cows, those with vajra-like arms and the conquerors. They are the destroyers of enemies. You should encourage Indra to be worthy of heroes, you should also follow him yourself. We are indra dev's friends. (38)
