यजुर्वेद (अध्याय 38)
यस्ते॒ स्तनः॑ शश॒यो यो म॑यो॒भूर्यो र॑त्न॒धा व॑सु॒विद्यः सु॒दत्रः॑।येन॒ विश्वा॒ पुष्य॑सि॒ वार्य्या॑णि॒ सर॑स्वति॒ तमि॒ह धात॑वेऽकः।उ॒र्वन्तरि॑क्ष॒मन्वे॑मि ॥ (५)
हे सरस्वती देवी! आप का दिव्य ज्ञान सुखदायी, कल्याणदायी व समृद्धिदायी है. आप का दिव्य ज्ञान वैसा ही सुखद और आनंददायी है, जैसे मां का स्तन बच्चे के लिए सुखकारी नींद लाने वाला व आनंद देने वाला होता है. बच्चे में उत्तम बल संचरित करता है और उन में उत्तम गुण पैदा करने वाला होता है. (५)
O Saraswati Devi! Your divine knowledge is pleasant, welfare and prosperous. Your divine knowledge is as pleasant and enjoyable as the mother's breast is a happy sleep and pleasure for the child. It transmits good strength in the child and creates good qualities in them. (5)
