अथर्ववेद (कांड 1)

अथर्ववेद: | सूक्त: 28
या श॒शाप॒ शप॑नेन॒ याघं मूर॑माद॒धे । या रस॑स्य॒ हर॑णाय जा॒तमा॑रे॒भे तो॒कम॑त्तु॒ सा ॥ (३)
जिन राक्षसियों ने कठोर वचनों के द्वारा हमें शाप दिया है, जिन राक्षसियों ने सभी पापों की जड़ हिंसा को स्वीकार कर लिया है तथा जो हमारी संतान, रस, सौंदर्य एवं पुष्टि का विनाश करती हैं, वे सभी अपने अथवा हमारे शत्रुओं के बालकों का भक्षण करें. (३)
The demons who have cursed us through harsh words, the demons who have accepted the violence, the root of all sins, and who destroy our children, juice, beauty and confirmation, they should all eat the children of themselves or our enemies. (3)
