पाप का विनाश करने वाली, देवों के द्वारा बनाई गई एवं पाप का निवारण करने वाली दूर्वा मुझ से सभी पापों को इस प्रकार धो कर दूर कर दे, जिस प्रकार पानी मैल को धो डालता है. (१)
Durva, who destroys sin, created by gods and removes sin, washes away all sins from me in such a way that water washes away scum. (1)
द्वेष करने वाले शत्रु से संबंधित एवं बहन से संबंधित जो आक्रोश है तथा ब्राह्मण ने क्रोधित हो कर जो शाप दिया है-ये तीनों प्रकार के शाप मेरे पैर के नीचे रहें. (२)
The anger related to the hostile enemy and the sister and the curse that the Brahmin has given by getting angry - these three types of curses should remain under my feet. (2)
परि॒ मां परि॑ मे प्र॒जां परि॑ णः पाहि॒ यद्धन॑म् । अरा॑तिर्नो॒ मा ता॑री॒न्मा न॑स्तारि॒शुर॒भिमा॑तयः ॥ (४)
हे मणि! मेरी, मेरी संतान की एवं मेरे धन की रक्षा करो. शत्रु हमारा अतिक्रमण न करे अर्थात् हमें पराजित न करे. हमारी हत्या करने के इच्छुक पिशाच आदि हमारी हिंसा न करें. (४)
O gem! Protect me, my children and my wealth. The enemy should not encroach on us, that is, do not defeat us. Vampires who want to kill us should not do our violence. (4)
मुझे दिया हुआ शाप उसी के पास लौट जाए, जिस ने मुझे शाप दिया है. जो पुरुष शोभन हृदय वाला है, उस मित्र के साथ हम सुखी रहें. हम चुगली करने वाले दुष्ट हृदय वाले की आंखों एवं पसली की हड्डी को नष्ट करते हैं. (५)
Let the curse given to me return to the one who cursed me. May we be happy with a friend who is blessed with a man with a beautiful heart. We destroy the eyes and rib bone of the evil-hearted person who chews. (5)
