अथर्ववेद (कांड 20)
आ घ॒ त्वावा॒न्त्मना॒प्त स्तो॒तृभ्यो॑ धृष्णविया॒नः । ऋ॒णोरक्षं॒ न च॑क्र्यो: ॥ (२)
हे इंद्र! तुम्हारी दया प्राप्त करने वाला पुरुष स्तोताओं के अनुग्रह से चलने वाले रथ के दोनों पहियों के अक्ष अर्थात् धुरे के समान दृढ़ हो जाता है. (२)
O Indra! The man who receives your mercy becomes as firm as the axis of both wheels of the chariot, which is, driven by the grace of the psalms. (2)
