अथर्ववेद (कांड 20)
अ॒स्मा इदु॒ ग्नाश्चि॑द्दे॒वप॑त्नी॒रिन्द्रा॑या॒र्कम॑हि॒हत्य॑ ऊवुः । परि॒ द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी ज॑भ्र उ॒र्वी नास्य॒ ते म॑हि॒मानं॒ परि॑ ष्टः ॥ (८)
इस इंद्र के लिए इंद्राणी आदि देव पत्नियों ने स्तोत्र का उच्चारण किया. इस इंद्र ने विस्तृत स्वर्ग और पृथ्वी को अपने तेज से अतिक्रमण किया था. धावा और पृथ्वी इद्र के महत्व को पराजित नहीं कर पाए. (८)
For this Indra, Indrani etc. dev wives chanted the stotra. This Indra had transgressed the wide heaven and earth with his glory. The storm and the earth could not defeat the importance of Idra. (8)
