अथर्ववेद: | सूक्त: 48
अ॒न्तश्च॑रति रोच॒ना अ॒स्य प्रा॒णाद॑पान॒तः । व्य॑ख्यन्महि॒षः स्व: ॥ (५)
जो प्राणी प्राण अर्थात्‌ सांस लेने और अपान वायु त्यागने का कार्य करते हैं, उन के शरीर में सूर्य की प्रभा प्राण के रूप में विचरण करती है. सूर्य ही सब लोकों को प्रकाशित करते हैं. (५)
In the body of those who do the work of prana i.e. breathing and giving up their air, the aura of the sun circulates in the form of prana. It is the sun that illuminates all the worlds. (5)
