हे इंद्र! गोदान के अवसर पर अन्न की कामना करने वाले पतिपत्नी तुम्हारा ध्यान करते हुए तुम्हें फल देने के लिए आकर्षित करते हैं. तुम स्वर्ग को गमन करने वाले दोनों पति और पत्नी को जानते हो. उस समय तुम अपने वर्षणशील और सहायक वज्र को प्रकट करते हो. (१)
O Indra! On the occasion of Godan, husband and wife who wish for food attract you to pay attention to you and give you fruits. You know both husband and wife who go to heaven. At that time you reveal your charming and helpful thunderbolt. (1)
इंद्र शरद ऋतु की वस्तुओं में प्रकट हो कर शत्रुओं को बारबार व्यथित करते हैं. इंद्र के बल को मनुष्य जानते हैं. हे इंद्र! जो मृत्युलोक वासी तुम्हारा पूजन नहीं करते, उन पर तुम शासन करो तथा इन जलों और पृथ्वी की वृद्धि करो. (२)
Indra appears in autumn objects and disturbs the enemies again and again. Human beings know the power of Indra. O Indra! Rule over the people of death who do not worship you and increase these waters and the earth. (2)
हे धन समर्थ जलो! हम तुम्हारे वीर्य का वर्णन करते हैं. इंद्र के उन्मत्त होने पर तुम ही उन की रक्षा करते हो. तुम सेनाओं में सेवा योग्य कर्म के करने वाले हो. तुम नदियों के आश्रय में रहो तथा अन्न प्रदान करते हुए सब के स्नान के साधन बनो. (३)
O wealth is strong! We describe your semen. When Indra is mad, you protect him. You are the doers of service in armies. Stay in the shelter of the rivers and become the means of bathing for all while providing food. (3)
