सोमा॑सो॒ न ये सु॒तास्तृ॒प्तांश॑वो हृ॒त्सु पी॒तासो॑ दु॒वसो॒ नास॑ते । ऐषा॒मंसे॑षु र॒म्भिणी॑व रारभे॒ हस्ते॑षु खा॒दिश्च॑ कृ॒तिश्च॒ सं द॑धे ॥ (३)
जिस प्रकार सोमलता पहले जल से सींची जाने पर बढ़ती है एवं बाद में रस निचोड़कर पीने से सेविका के समान मन को आनंद देती है, उसी प्रकार मरुद्गण भी लोगों को प्रसन्न करते हैं. स्त्री के समान आयुध इनके कंधों को चूमते हैं एवं इनके हाथों में हस्तत्राण तथा तलवार सुशोभित है. (३)
Just as somlata grows when it is first irrigated with water and then squeezes the juice and drinks it, giving pleasure to the mind like a sevika, similarly the deserts also make people happy. Like a woman, the armaments kiss their shoulders and their hands adorn the handstrong and sword. (3)
