त्रयः॑ प॒वयो॑ मधु॒वाह॑ने॒ रथे॒ सोम॑स्य वे॒नामनु॒ विश्व॒ इद्वि॑दुः । त्रयः॑ स्क॒म्भासः॑ स्कभि॒तास॑ आ॒रभे॒ त्रिर्नक्तं॑ या॒थस्त्रिर्व॑श्विना॒ दिवा॑ ॥ (२)
समस्त देवता चंद्रमा और उसकी सुंदरी पत्नी वेना के विवाह में जा रहे थे, तब उन्हें पता लगा कि मधुर भोज्य-पदार्थ को ढोने वाले रथ में तीन पहिए हैं. उस रथ के ऊपर सहारा लेने के लिए खंभे हैं. हे अश्विनीकुमारो! इस प्रकार के रथ द्वारा तुम दिन में तीन बार आओ और रात में भी तीन बार आओ. (२)
All the gods were going to the wedding of The Moon and his beautiful wife Vena, when they found out that there were three wheels in the chariot carrying sweet food. There are pillars to resort to on top of that chariot. O Ashwinikumaro! By this type of chariot you come three times a day and also come three times at night. (2)
