ऋग्वेद: | सूक्त: 61
अ॒स्येदु॑ भि॒या गि॒रय॑श्च दृ॒ळ्हा द्यावा॑ च॒ भूमा॑ ज॒नुष॑स्तुजेते । उपो॑ वे॒नस्य॒ जोगु॑वान ओ॒णिं स॒द्यो भु॑वद्वी॒र्या॑य नो॒धाः ॥ (१४)
इन्हीं इंद्र के भय से पर्वत स्थिर हैं एवं इनके प्रकट होने पर धरती और आकाश भय से कांपने लगते हैं. नोधा नामक ऋषि ने इन्हीं सुंदर एवं दुःखविनाशक इंद्र की रक्षा शक्ति की अपने सूक्तों द्वारा बार-बार प्रशंसा करके अविलंब शक्ति प्राप्त की थी. (१४)
The mountains are stable by the fear of these Indras and when they appear, the earth and the sky begin to tremble with fear. A sage named Nodha had gained power without delay by repeatedly praising the protective power of this beautiful and sadly destructive Indra through his suktas. (14)
