ऋग्वेद (मंडल 1)
इन्द्रेहि॒ मत्स्यन्ध॑सो॒ विश्वे॑भिः सोम॒पर्व॑भिः । म॒हाँ अ॑भि॒ष्टिरोज॑सा ॥ (१)
हे इंद्र! इस यज्ञ में आकर सोमरस रूपी समस्त भोज्य पदार्थों से प्रसन्न बनो. इसके पश्चात् तुम परम शक्तिशाली बनकर शत्रुओं पर विजय प्राप्त करो. (१)
O Indra! Come to this yajna and be happy with all the food items in the form of somras. After that, become the most powerful and conquer the enemies. (1)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 1)
एमे॑नं सृजता सु॒ते म॒न्दिमिन्द्रा॑य म॒न्दिने॑ । चक्रिं॒ विश्वा॑नि॒ चक्र॑ये ॥ (२)
यदि आनंद देने वाला एवं कार्य संपादन की प्रेरणा करने वाला सोमरस तैयार हो तो उसे प्रसन्न एवं संपूर्ण कार्य सिद्ध करने वाले को भेंट करो. (२)
If the somras, who gives joy and inspires the editing of the work, is ready, then give it to the one who is happy and completes the whole work. (2)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 1)
मत्स्वा॑ सुशिप्र म॒न्दिभिः॒ स्तोमे॑भिर्विश्वचर्षणे । सचै॒षु सव॑ने॒ष्वा ॥ (३)
हे सुंदर नासिका एवं ठोड़ी वाले तथा समस्त यजमानों द्वारा पूज्य इंद्र! तुम आनंद बढ़ाने वाली स्तुतियों से प्रसन्न होकर इस सवन नामक यज्ञ में पधारो. (३)
O indra, who has beautiful noses and chins and is revered by all hosts! You are pleased with the joy-enhancing praises and come to this yagna called Sawan. (3)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 1)
असृ॑ग्रमिन्द्र ते॒ गिरः॒ प्रति॒ त्वामुद॑हासत । अजो॑षा वृष॒भं पति॑म् ॥ (४)
हे इंद्र! मैंने तुम्हारी स्तुतियां की हैं. वे तुम्हारे समीप स्वर्ग में पहुंच गई हैं. तुमने उन स्तुतियों को स्वीकार कर लिया है. तुम मनचाही वर्षा करने वाले एवं यजमान के रक्षक हो. (४)
O Indra! I have praised you. They have come near you to heaven. You have accepted those praises. You are the one who wants to rain and the protector of the host. (4)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 1)
सं चो॑दय चि॒त्रम॒र्वाग्राध॑ इन्द्र॒ वरे॑ण्यम् । अस॒दित्ते॑ वि॒भु प्र॒भु ॥ (५)
हे इंद्र! श्रेष्ठ एवं विविध प्रकार का धन हमारे पास भेजो. हमारे भोग के लिए पर्याप्त एवं अधिक धन तुम्हारे ही पास है. (५)
O Indra! Send us the best and variety of wealth. You have enough and more wealth for our enjoyment. (5)

अ॒स्मान्सु तत्र॑ चोद॒येन्द्र॑ रा॒ये रभ॑स्वतः । तुवि॑द्युम्न॒ यश॑स्वतः ॥ (६)
हे अधिक संपत्ति वाले इंद्र! धन की सिद्धि के लिए हमें यज्ञ रूपी कर्म की प्रेरणा दो. हम उद्योगशील एवं कीर्ति वाले हों. (६)
O Indra with more wealth! For the accomplishment of wealth, give us the inspiration of karma in the form of yagya. May we be industrialists and those of fame. (6)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 1)
सं गोम॑दिन्द्र॒ वाज॑वद॒स्मे पृ॒थु श्रवो॑ बृ॒हत् । वि॒श्वायु॑र्धे॒ह्यक्षि॑तम् ॥ (७)
हे इंद्र! हमें गायों एवं अन्न के साथ-साथ अधिक मात्रा में धन दो. यह धन इतना विस्तृत हो कि समस्त आयु भर खर्च होने पर भी समाप्त न हो. (७)
O Indra! Give us more wealth along with cows and food. This wealth should be so vast that it does not run out even if it is spent throughout the entire life. (7)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 1)
अ॒स्मे धे॑हि॒ श्रवो॑ बृ॒हद्द्यु॒म्नं स॑हस्र॒सात॑मम् । इन्द्र॒ ता र॒थिनी॒रिषः॑ ॥ (८)
हे इंद्र! हमें विशाल यश, अनेक रथों में भरा हुआ अन्न एवं ऐसा धन दो, जिससे हम हजारों की संख्या में दान कर सकें. (८)
O Indra! Give us great glory, food stuffed in many chariots and wealth so that we can donate in thousands. (8)
