अपे॑न्द्र द्विष॒तो मनोऽप॒ जिज्या॑सतो व॒धम् । वि म॒न्योः शर्म॑ यच्छ॒ वरी॑यो यवया व॒धम् ॥ (५)
हे इंद्र! शत्रु का मनोबल तोड़ दो. जो हमें जर्जर करना चाहता है, उस पर आयुध चलाओ. हमें शत्रु के क्रोध से बचाकर सुख दो एवं शत्रु के आयुध को हमसे अलग करो. (५)
O Indra! Break the morale of the enemy. Run the armaments on the one who wants to make us shabby. Save us from the enemy's wrath and give us happiness and separate the enemy's weapon from us. (5)
