ऋग्वेद: | सूक्त: 26
इ॒नो वाजा॑नां॒ पति॑रि॒नः पु॑ष्टी॒नां सखा॑ । प्र श्मश्रु॑ हर्य॒तो दू॑धो॒द्वि वृथा॒ यो अदा॑भ्यः ॥ (७)
ईश्वर पूषा अन्नों के स्वामी एवं पुष्टिकारक वस्तुओं के मित्र हैं. शत्रुओं द्वारा अपराजेय पूषा अपने अभिलषित यजमान का सोमरस पीकर अनायास ही अपनी दाढ़ी को हिलाते हैं. (७)
God is the lord of the food grains and the friend of confirmatory things. The worship, unbeatable by the enemies, spontaneously shakes his beard by drinking the somras of his beloved host. (7)
