पीवा॑नं मे॒षम॑पचन्त वी॒रा न्यु॑प्ता अ॒क्षा अनु॑ दी॒व आ॑सन् । द्वा धनुं॑ बृह॒तीम॒प्स्व१॒॑न्तः प॒वित्र॑वन्ता चरतः पु॒नन्ता॑ ॥ (१७)
प्रजापति के पुत्र अंगिरा आदि ऋषियों ने मोटे बकरे को पकाया. जुआ खेलने के स्थान में देवों के पासे फेंके गए. इन अंगिराओं में से दो धन के समान प्रसन्नता देने वाले कपिल को लेकर मंत्र उच्चारण के साथ अपने शरीर को शुद्ध करने के लिए जल में घूमने लगे. (१७)
Sages like Prajapati's son Angira etc cooked the thick goat. The dice of the gods were thrown in the place of gaming. Two of these angiras started walking in the water to purify their bodies with the chanting of mantras about Kapila, who gave the same happiness as wealth. (17)
