ऋग्वेद: | सूक्त: 27
दे॒वानां॒ माने॑ प्रथ॒मा अ॑तिष्ठन्कृ॒न्तत्रा॑देषा॒मुप॑रा॒ उदा॑यन् । त्रय॑स्तपन्ति पृथि॒वीम॑नू॒पा द्वा बृबू॑कं वहतः॒ पुरी॑षम् ॥ (२३)
देवों के निर्माण के समय ये बादल सबसे पहले देखे गए. इंद्र द्वारा इन मेघों के छेदन के बाद जल ऊपर आया. पर्जन्य, वायु और सूर्य ये तीन धरती पर खड़े वृक्षों को पकाते हैं. सबको प्रभावित करने वाले वायु और सूर्य सबको प्रसन्न करने वाला जल बरसाते हैं. (२३)
These clouds were first seen at the time of the creation of the gods. The water came up after the piercing of these clouds by Indra. The three trees, the wind, and the sun cook the trees standing on earth. The wind affecting everyone and the sun rain water that pleases everyone. (23)
