ऋग्वेद (मंडल 10)
आ या॒त्विन्द्रः॒ स्वप॑ति॒र्मदा॑य॒ यो धर्म॑णा तूतुजा॒नस्तुवि॑ष्मान् । प्र॒त्व॒क्षा॒णो अति॒ विश्वा॒ सहां॑स्यपा॒रेण॑ मह॒ता वृष्ण्ये॑न ॥ (१)
वे धनस्वामी इंद्र प्रसन्नता पाने के लिए अपने रथ में बैठकर हमारे यज्ञ में आवें, जो शीघ्रता से बढ़कर शत्रु के बलों को अपनी असीमित शक्तियों से क्षीण करते हैं. (१)
They sit in their chariots to find the happiness of the wealthy Indra and come to our yajna, who quickly weakens the enemy's forces with their unlimited powers. (1)

सु॒ष्ठामा॒ रथः॑ सु॒यमा॒ हरी॑ ते मि॒म्यक्ष॒ वज्रो॑ नृपते॒ गभ॑स्तौ । शीभं॑ राजन्सु॒पथा या॑ह्य॒र्वाङ्वर्धा॑म ते प॒पुषो॒ वृष्ण्या॑नि ॥ (२)
हे मनुष्यों के पालक इंद्र! तुम्हारा रथ शोभन स्थिति वाला, तुम्हारे घोड़े वश में रहने वाले एवं वञ्र तुम्हारी बांहों में रहने वाला है. हे स्वामी इंद्र! शोभन मार्ग द्वारा शीघ्र हमारे सामने आओ. हम सोमरस पिलाकर तुम्हारी शक्ति बढ़ाते हैं. (२)
O Lord of men Indra! Your chariot is in a pitiable position, your horses are in control, and your vanguard is going to live in your arms. O Lord Indra! Come before us early by shobhan path. We increase your power by drinking somras. (2)

एन्द्र॒वाहो॑ नृ॒पतिं॒ वज्र॑बाहुमु॒ग्रमु॒ग्रास॑स्तवि॒षास॑ एनम् । प्रत्व॑क्षसं वृष॒भं स॒त्यशु॑ष्म॒मेम॑स्म॒त्रा स॑ध॒मादो॑ वहन्तु ॥ (३)
शक्तिशाली, विशाल शरीर वाले एवं परस्पर प्रसन्न रहने वाले इंद्र के घोड़े मनुष्यों के पालक, हाथ में वज्र धारण करने वाले, शक्तिशाली, शत्रु सेनाओं को निर्बल बनाने वाले, अभिलाषापूरक व विवादरहित शक्ति वाले इंद्र को हमारे समीप लावें. (३)
May indra's horses, who have a powerful, large body, and mutually happy, bring to us indra, the guardian of man, the vajra in his hand, the powerful, the weakest of enemy armies, the one who is full of desire and the power without dispute. (3)

ए॒वा पतिं॑ द्रोण॒साचं॒ सचे॑तसमू॒र्जः स्क॒म्भं ध॒रुण॒ आ वृ॑षायसे । ओजः॑ कृष्व॒ सं गृ॑भाय॒ त्वे अप्यसो॒ यथा॑ केनि॒पाना॑मि॒नो वृ॒धे ॥ (४)
हे इंद्र तुम्हीं सबके पालक, द्रोणकलश में रहने वाले, प्रजा वाले एवं बलधारणकर्तता सोमरस से अपने पेट को भरते हो. तुम मुझे शक्ति दो एवं अपना बनाओ. हम बुद्धिमानों को बढ़ाने में तुम्हीं समर्थ हो. (४)
This Indra, you are the guardian of all of you, those who live in Dronakalash, the people and fill your stomach with the forceful karta somras. You give me the power and make me yours. You are able to raise us wise. (4)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 10)
गम॑न्न॒स्मे वसू॒न्या हि शंसि॑षं स्वा॒शिषं॒ भर॒मा या॑हि सो॒मिनः॑ । त्वमी॑शिषे॒ सास्मिन्ना स॑त्सि ब॒र्हिष्य॑नाधृ॒ष्या तव॒ पात्रा॑णि॒ धर्म॑णा ॥ (५)
हे इंद्र! मैं तुम्हारी स्तुति करता हूं, इसलिए सारी संपत्ति मेरे पास आवे. तुम मुझ सोमरस वाले के शोभन यज्ञ में आओ. तुम धन के स्वामी हो. तुम इन बिछे हुए कुशों पर बैठी. तुम्हारे सोमरस के पात्रों को राक्षस छू भी नहीं सकते. (५)
O Indra! I praise you, so let all property come to me. You come to me in the Shobhan Yajna of Somras Wale. You are the master of wealth. You sat on these divided cushions. The characters of your Somras can't even touch the monster. (5)

पृथ॒क्प्राय॑न्प्रथ॒मा दे॒वहू॑त॒योऽकृ॑ण्वत श्रव॒स्या॑नि दु॒ष्टरा॑ । न ये शे॒कुर्य॒ज्ञियां॒ नाव॑मा॒रुह॑मी॒र्मैव ते न्य॑विशन्त॒ केप॑यः ॥ (६)
हे इंद्र! जो प्रमुख एवं देवों को बुलाने वाले लोग तुम्हारी कृपा से अलग-अलग स्वर्ग में गए, उन्होंने अन्यों द्वारा यश के कार्य किए थे. जो यज्ञरूप नाव पर नहीं चढ़ सके, वे पापकर्मा, ऋणयुक्त एवं नीच बने रहते हैं. (६)
O Indra! Those who called the chiefs and the gods went to heaven separately by your grace, they did the works of praise by others. Those who could not board the boat in the form of yajna, they remain sinful, indebted and lowly. (6)

ए॒वैवापा॒गप॑रे सन्तु दू॒ढ्योऽश्वा॒ येषां॑ दु॒र्युज॑ आयुयु॒ज्रे । इ॒त्था ये प्रागुप॑रे॒ सन्ति॑ दा॒वने॑ पु॒रूणि॒ यत्र॑ व॒युना॑नि॒ भोज॑ना ॥ (७)
जो लोग इसी प्रकार दुर्बुद्धि एवं यज्ञरहित हैं, वे अधोगामी रहें. जिन यज्ञ न करने वालों के शक्तिशाली घोड़े रथ में जुड़ते हैं, वे नरक में जाते हैं. जो मरने से पहले ही देवों को हव्य देते हैं, वे स्वर्ग में जाते हैं. स्वर्ग में शोभन वस्तुएं अधिक मात्रा में रहती हैं. (७)
Those who are similarly without ill-sense and yajna, let them remain downwards. The powerful horses of those who do not perform the yajna join the chariot, they go to hell. Those who give a greeting to the gods before they die go to heaven. In heaven there are more beautiful things that live in large quantities. (7)

गि॒रीँरज्रा॒न्रेज॑मानाँ अधारय॒द्द्यौः क्र॑न्दद॒न्तरि॑क्षाणि कोपयत् । स॒मी॒ची॒ने धि॒षणे॒ वि ष्क॑भायति॒ वृष्णः॑ पी॒त्वा मद॑ उ॒क्थानि॑ शंसति ॥ (८)
इंद्र ने पेट भरने वाले सोम को पीकर गमनशील एवं कांपने वाले मेघों को स्थिर किया. उस समय स्वर्ग क्रंदन करने लगा और अंतरिक्ष कुपित हो उठे. इंद्र परस्पर मिली हुई द्यावा- पृथिवी को उसी दशा में रखते हैं. (८)
Indra drank the stomach-filling som and stabilized the moving and trembling clouds. At that time heaven began to scramble and the space became corrupt. Indra keeps the interconnected diava- earth in the same condition. (8)
