ऋग्वेद: | सूक्त: 82
चक्षु॑षः पि॒ता मन॑सा॒ हि धीरो॑ घृ॒तमे॑ने अजन॒न्नन्न॑माने । य॒देदन्ता॒ अद॑दृहन्त॒ पूर्व॒ आदिद्द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी अ॑प्रथेताम् ॥ (१)
शरीर को उत्पन्न करने वाले, स्वयं को अद्वितीय समझने वाले एवं धीर विश्वकर्मा ने सबसे पहले जल को उत्पन्न किया. इसके पश्चात्‌ जल में इधर उधर चलने वाले द्यावा-पृथिवी का निर्माण किया. विश्वकर्मा ने द्यावा-पृथिवी के प्राचीन एवं अंतिम भागों को दृढ़ करके प्रसिद्ध किया. (१)
The creator of the body, the one who considered himself unique and Dhir Vishwakarma was the first to produce water. After this, he built the dyava-prithvivi moving around in the water. Vishwakarma made famous by strengthening the ancient and last parts of Dyava-Prithvivi. (1)
