बृ॒हद्व॑दन्ति मदि॒रेण॑ म॒न्दिनेन्द्रं॒ क्रोश॑न्तोऽविदन्न॒ना मधु॑ । सं॒रभ्या॒ धीराः॒ स्वसृ॑भिरनर्तिषुराघो॒षय॑न्तः पृथि॒वीमु॑प॒ब्दिभिः॑ ॥ (४)
नशा करने वाले एवं निचोड़े जाते हुए सोम के द्वारा इंद्र को पुकारने वाले ये पत्थर महान्‌ शब्द करते हैं. ये पत्थर अपने मुख से नशीला सोमरस प्राप्त करते हैं. ये पत्थर निचोड़ने के काम में चंचल होकर भी धीर रहते हैं एवं अपने शब्दों से धरती को गुंजित करते हुए उंगलियों के साथ नाचते हैं. (४)
These stones, which call Indra through Soma, who are intoxicated and squeezed, do great words. These stones get intoxicating somers from their mouths. These stones remain patient even after being playful in the work of squeezing and dance with their fingers while humming the earth with their words. (4)
