ऋग्वेद (मंडल 3)
त्वाम॑ग्ने मनी॒षिणः॑ स॒म्राजं॑ चर्षणी॒नाम् । दे॒वं मर्ता॑स इन्धते॒ सम॑ध्व॒रे ॥ (१)
हे अग्नि! अध्वर्यु आदि बुद्धिमान् लोग प्रजाओं के स्वामी एवं दीप्तिमान् तुझ अग्नि को यज्ञ में प्रज्वलित करते हैं. (१)
O agni! The wise people like Adhwaryu, etc., the masters of the people and the lights light the agni in the yagna. (1)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 3)
त्वां य॒ज्ञेष्वृ॒त्विज॒मग्ने॒ होता॑रमीळते । गो॒पा ऋ॒तस्य॑ दीदिहि॒ स्वे दमे॑ ॥ (२)
हे अग्नि! अध्वर्यु आदि होता एवं ऋत्विज् रूप में तुम्हारी स्तुति अपने यज्ञ में करते हैं, तुम यज्ञ के रक्षक बनकर अपने घर में दीप्त बनो. (२)
O agni! If there was adhwaryu etc. and in the form of ritwij, they praise you in your yajna, you become the protector of the yajna and become a bright one in your house. (2)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 3)
स घा॒ यस्ते॒ ददा॑शति स॒मिधा॑ जा॒तवे॑दसे । सो अ॑ग्ने धत्ते सु॒वीर्यं॒ स पु॑ष्यति ॥ (३)
हे जातवेद अग्नि! जो यजमान तुम्हें प्रज्वलित करने वाला हव्य देता है, वह शक्तिशाली पुत्र-पौत्र प्राप्त करता है एवं समृद्ध बनता है. (३)
O Jativeda Agni! The host who gives you a burning gesture receives a powerful son and grandson and becomes prosperous. (3)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 3)
स के॒तुर॑ध्व॒राणा॑म॒ग्निर्दे॒वेभि॒रा ग॑मत् । अ॒ञ्जा॒नः स॒प्त होतृ॑भिर्ह॒विष्म॑ते ॥ (४)
केतु के समान यज्ञों का ज्ञापन कराने वाले अग्नि सात होताओं द्वारा घी से सिक्त होकर यजमान के कल्याण के लिए देवों के साथ आवें. (४)
The agnis who perform the memorandum of yajnas like Ketu should be filled with ghee by the seven hotas and come with the gods for the welfare of the host. (4)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 3)
प्र होत्रे॑ पू॒र्व्यं वचो॒ऽग्नये॑ भरता बृ॒हत् । वि॒पां ज्योतीं॑षि॒ बिभ्र॑ते॒ न वे॒धसे॑ ॥ (५)
हे होताओ! मेधावियों का तेज धारण करने वाले, संसार के विधाता देवों को बुलाने वाले, अग्नि के उद्देश्य से महान् एवं पूर्ववर्ती लोगों द्वारा निर्मित स्तोत्र बोलो. (५)
Hey, it was! Speak hymns made by the great and forefathers for the purpose of agni, those who wear the brightness of the meritorious, those who call the vidhata devas of the world. (5)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 3)
अ॒ग्निं व॑र्धन्तु नो॒ गिरो॒ यतो॒ जाय॑त उ॒क्थ्यः॑ । म॒हे वाजा॑य॒ द्रवि॑णाय दर्श॒तः ॥ (६)
महान् अन्न एवं धन के निमित्त दर्शनीय अग्नि की प्रशंसा जिन वचनों से होती है, हमारे वे ही स्तुतिवचन अग्नि को बढ़ावें. (६)
The words by which the glorious agni of the visible agni for the sake of great food and wealth are the same words as ours may increase the praise agni. (6)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 3)
अग्ने॒ यजि॑ष्ठो अध्व॒रे दे॒वान्दे॑वय॒ते य॑ज । होता॑ म॒न्द्रो वि रा॑ज॒स्यति॒ स्रिधः॑ ॥ (७)
हे यज्ञकर्त्ताओं में श्रेष्ठ अग्नि! यज्ञ में देवों की कामना करने वाले यजमानों के कल्याण के लिए देवों की पूजा करो. होता एवं यजमानों को प्रसन्रता देने वाले तुम अग्नि शत्रुओं को पराजित करके सुशोभित होते हो. (७)
O agni, the best of the yagyakars! Worship the gods for the welfare of the hosts who wish for the gods in the yajna. You are beautified by defeating the agni enemies who give glory to the hosts. (7)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 3)
स नः॑ पावक दीदिहि द्यु॒मद॒स्मे सु॒वीर्य॑म् । भवा॑ स्तो॒तृभ्यो॒ अन्त॑मः स्व॒स्तये॑ ॥ (८)
हे पाप शोधक अग्नि! हमें कांतियुक्त एवं शोभन सामर्थ्य वाला धन दो तथा कल्याण के निमित्त स्तोताओं के समीप जाओ. (८)
O agni, sin seeker! Give us money with kanti-friendly and awe-inspiring power and go to the stoyas for the sake of welfare. (8)
