ऋग्वेद (मंडल 3)
अ॒यम॒ग्निः सु॒वीर्य॒स्येशे॑ म॒हः सौभ॑गस्य । रा॒य ई॑शे स्वप॒त्यस्य॒ गोम॑त॒ ईशे॑ वृत्र॒हथा॑नाम् ॥ (१)
यह अग्नि शोभन सामर्थ्य युक्त, महान् सौभाग्य के स्वामी, गाय एवं उत्तम संतानयुक्त धन के स्वामी एवं शत्रुरूपी पापों के नष्ट करने में समर्थ हैं. (१)
These agnis are capable of adornment, the lord of great fortune, the lord of the cow and the wealth with the best children and are capable of destroying the enemy sins. (1)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 3)
इ॒मं न॑रो मरुतः सश्चता॒ वृधं॒ यस्मि॒न्रायः॒ शेवृ॑धासः । अ॒भि ये सन्ति॒ पृत॑नासु दू॒ढ्यो॑ वि॒श्वाहा॒ शत्रु॑माद॒भुः ॥ (२)
हे यज्ञकर्म के वेत्ता मरुतो! सौभाग्य बढ़ाने वाले अग्नि की सेवा करो. इसमें सुख बढ़ाने वाले धन हैं. मरुद्गण सेनाओं वाले बड़े युद्धों में शत्रुओं को हराते हैं एवं सदा शत्रुओं का नाश करते हैं. (२)
O maruto, the vetta of yajnakarma! Serve the agni that enhances good fortune. It has wealth that increases happiness. The deserts defeat the enemies in great wars with armies and always destroy the enemies. (2)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 3)
स त्वं नो॑ रा॒यः शि॑शीहि॒ मीढ्वो॑ अग्ने सु॒वीर्य॑स्य । तुवि॑द्युम्न॒ वर्षि॑ष्ठस्य प्र॒जाव॑तोऽनमी॒वस्य॑ शु॒ष्मिणः॑ ॥ (३)
हे प्रभूत धन से युक्त एवं अभिलाषापूरक अग्नि! हमें अधिक मात्रा वाला, संतानयुक्त, आरोग्य, शक्ति एवं सामर्थ्यसंपन्न तथा धन का स्वामी बनाओ. (३)
O agni with great wealth and full of desire! Make us overweight, child-bearing, healthy, powerful and powerful and possessing wealth. (3)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 3)
चक्रि॒र्यो विश्वा॒ भुव॑ना॒भि सा॑स॒हिश्चक्रि॑र्दे॒वेष्वा दुवः॑ । आ दे॒वेषु॒ यत॑त॒ आ सु॒वीर्य॒ आ शंस॑ उ॒त नृ॒णाम् ॥ (४)
समस्त विश्व के कर्ता अग्नि विश्व में निवास करते हैं, द्रव्य को ढोते हुए देवों के समीप ले जाते हैं. स्तोताओं के सामने आते हैं, यज्ञकर्तताओं के स्तोत्र सुनने आते हैं तथा युद्ध में मानवों की रक्षा करते हैं. (४)
The doers of all the world inhabit the agni world, carrying the matter and taking it close to the gods. They come in front of the psalms, come to hear the hymns of the yajnakartas and protect the human beings in battle. (4)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 3)
मा नो॑ अ॒ग्नेऽम॑तये॒ मावीर॑तायै रीरधः । मागोता॑यै सहसस्पुत्र॒ मा नि॒देऽप॒ द्वेषां॒स्या कृ॑धि ॥ (५)
हे बल के पुत्र अग्नि! हमें शत्रुरूप दरिद्रता, कायरता, पशुहीनता एवं निंदा के योग्य मत करना. हमारे प्रति द्वेष की भावना समाप्त करो. (५)
O son of strength, agni! Don't make us hostilely worthy of poverty, cowardice, animallessness and slander. End the feeling of malice towards us. (5)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 3)
श॒ग्धि वाज॑स्य सुभग प्र॒जाव॒तोऽग्ने॑ बृह॒तो अ॑ध्व॒रे । सं रा॒या भूय॑सा सृज मयो॒भुना॒ तुवि॑द्युम्न॒ यश॑स्वता ॥ (६)
हे शोभन धन के स्वामी अग्नि! तुम यज्ञ में महान् एवं संतानयुक्त धन के स्वामी हो. हे बहुधनसंपन्न अग्नि! हमें अधिक मात्रा वाला, सुखकारक एवं कीर्तिदाता धन प्रदान करो. (६)
O Fire, lord of wealth! You are the master of great and progenial wealth in the yajna. O rich agni! Give us more money, soothing and rewarding. (6)
