ऋग्वेद: | सूक्त: 23
निर्म॑थितः॒ सुधि॑त॒ आ स॒धस्थे॒ युवा॑ क॒विर॑ध्व॒रस्य॑ प्रणे॒ता । जूर्य॑त्स्व॒ग्निर॒जरो॒ वने॒ष्वत्रा॑ दधे अ॒मृतं॑ जा॒तवे॑दाः ॥ (१)
अरणिमंथन द्वारा उत्पन्न, यजमान के घर में यज्ञकुंड में स्थापित, युवा, क्रांतदर्शी, यज्ञ पूर्ण करने वाले, जातवेद, महान्‌ एवं अरण्यों के नष्ट होने पर भी जरारहित अग्नि इस यज्ञ में अमृत धारण करते हैं. (१)
