ऋग्वेद: | सूक्त: 26
तं शु॒भ्रम॒ग्निमव॑से हवामहे वैश्वान॒रं मा॑त॒रिश्वा॑नमु॒क्थ्य॑म् । बृह॒स्पतिं॒ मनु॑षो दे॒वता॑तये॒ विप्रं॒ श्रोता॑र॒मति॑थिं रघु॒ष्यद॑म् ॥ (२)
हम द्योतमान, वैश्वानर, मातरिश्वा, ऋचाओं द्वारा आह्वानयोग्य, यज्ञ के स्वामी, मेधावी, श्रोता, अतिथि, शीघ्रगामी अग्नि को अपनी रक्षा तथा यजमान के यज्ञ के निमित्त बुलाते हैं. (२)
We call the denoting, the vaishwanar, the matrishwa, the invocation by the rich, the masters of the yajna, the meritorious, the listener, the guests, the early agni for our protection and the yajna of the host. (2)
