वि॒वेष॒ यन्मा॑ धि॒षणा॑ ज॒जान॒ स्तवै॑ पु॒रा पार्या॒दिन्द्र॒मह्नः॑ । अंह॑सो॒ यत्र॑ पी॒पर॒द्यथा॑ नो ना॒वेव॒ यान्त॑मु॒भये॑ हवन्ते ॥ (१४)
इंद्र की स्तुति करने का विचार जब मेरी बुद्धि में आता है, तब मैं स्तुति करता हूं. मैं अशुभ दिन आने के पहले ही इंद्र की स्तुति करता हूं. जिस प्रकार दोनों तटों वाले लोग नाव वाले को पुकारते हैं, उसी प्रकार हमारे दोनों मातृ एवं पितृ कुलों के लोग दुःख से पार लगाने के विचार से तुम्हें पुकारते हैं. (१४)
When the idea of praising Indra comes to my mind, I praise. I praise Indra even before the inauspicious day comes. Just as the people on both sides call upon the boatman, so the people of both our mother and father families call upon you with the thought of crossing through with grief. (14)
