वृ॒त्र॒खा॒दो व॑लंरु॒जः पु॒रां द॒र्मो अ॒पाम॒जः । स्थाता॒ रथ॑स्य॒ हर्यो॑रभिस्व॒र इन्द्रो॑ दृ॒ळ्हा चि॑दारु॒जः ॥ (२)
हे वृत्रहंता, मेघ-विदारक, जलों को प्रेरित करने वाले, शन्रुनगरों के विमर्दक एवं बलवान्‌ शन्रुओं को भी नष्ट करने वाले इंद्र! दोनों घोड़ों को हांकने के लिए हमारे सामने रथ पर बैठो. (२)
O Vrithrahanta, the cloud-breaker, the one who inspires the waters, and who destroys the vimardaks and the rebellions of the shanrunagars, indra! Sit on the chariot in front of us to shake both horses. (2)
