ऋग्वेद (मंडल 5)
अ॒ग्निं स्तोमे॑न बोधय समिधा॒नो अम॑र्त्यम् । ह॒व्या दे॒वेषु॑ नो दधत् ॥ (१)
हे यजमान! अमर-अग्नि को स्तुतियों द्वारा प्रबृद्ध करो. वे प्रज्वलित होकर हमारा हव्य देवों के पास ले जाएंगे. (१)
O host! Enrich the immortal agni with praises. They will ignite and take our vow to the gods. (1)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 5)
तम॑ध्व॒रेष्वी॑ळते दे॒वं मर्ता॒ अम॑र्त्यम् । यजि॑ष्ठं॒ मानु॑षे॒ जने॑ ॥ (२)
मनुष्य यज्ञों में उस दीप्तिसंपन्न, मरणरहित एवं मानव प्रजाओं में अतिशय यज्ञपात्र अग्नि की स्तुति करते हैं. (२)
Human beings praise the glorious, the deadless and the very sacrificial agni in human beings in the yagnas. (2)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 5)
तं हि शश्व॑न्त॒ ईळ॑ते स्रु॒चा दे॒वं घृ॑त॒श्चुता॑ । अ॒ग्निं ह॒व्याय॒ वोळ्ह॑वे ॥ (३)
बहुत से स्तोता घी से पूर्ण खुच लेकर देवों के समीप वहन करने के निमित्त यज्ञशाला में अग्नि देव की स्तुति करते हैं. (३)
Many of the stotas take full khuch from ghee and praise the agni god in the yajnashala to carry them near the gods. (3)

अ॒ग्निर्जा॒तो अ॑रोचत॒ घ्नन्दस्यू॒ञ्ज्योति॑षा॒ तमः॑ । अवि॑न्द॒द्गा अ॒पः स्वः॑ ॥ (४)
अरणियों के मंथन से प्रादुर्भूत अग्नि अपने तेज से यज्ञ विनाशकारी दस्युजनों एवं अंधकार को समाप्त करते हुए प्रकाशित होते हैं. गाएं, जल एवं सूर्य अग्नि से ही प्रकट हुए हैं. (४)
The agnis produced by the churning of the aranis are illuminated with their swiftness, putting an end to the destructive bandits and darkness. Sing, water and the sun are revealed by agni. (4)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 5)
अ॒ग्निमी॒ळेन्यं॑ क॒विं घृ॒तपृ॑ष्ठं सपर्यत । वेतु॑ मे शृ॒णव॒द्धव॑म् ॥ (५)
हे मनुष्यो! स्तुति योग्य, क्रांतदर्शी एवं घृत के कारण दीप्त शिखा वाले अग्नि की पूजा करो. अग्नि हमारे इस आह्वान को सुनते हुए आवें. (५)
O men! Worship the agni with a bright crest because of praise, worthy of revolution and disgust. Let the agni come listening to this call of ours. (5)

अ॒ग्निं घृ॒तेन॑ वावृधुः॒ स्तोमे॑भिर्वि॒श्वच॑र्षणिम् । स्वा॒धीभि॑र्वच॒स्युभिः॑ ॥ (६)
ऋत्विजों ने घी एवं स्तुतियों द्वारा शोभन ध्यान वाले तथा स्तुतियों की कामना करने वाले देवों के साथ विश्वदर्शक अग्नि को घी की सहायता से बढ़ाया. (६)
The Ritvijas, with the help of ghee, increased the world-looking agni with the help of ghee with the help of ghee along with the gods who meditated and wished for praises. (6)
