आ मि॒त्रे वरु॑णे व॒यं गी॒र्भिर्जु॑हुमो अत्रि॒वत् । नि ब॒र्हिषि॑ सदतं॒ सोम॑पीतये ॥ (१)
हम अत्रि ऋषि के समान मंत्रों द्वारा मित्र व वरुण को बुलाते हैं. वे सोमरस पीने के लिए कुशों पर बैठे. (१)
We call the friend and Varuna through the same mantras as the sage Atri. They sat on the cushions to drink somras. (1)

व्र॒तेन॑ स्थो ध्रु॒वक्षे॑मा॒ धर्म॑णा यात॒यज्ज॑ना । नि ब॒र्हिषि॑ सदतं॒ सोम॑पीतये ॥ (२)
हे मित्र व वरुण! तुम विश्व को धारण करने वाले व्रतों के कारण अपने स्थान पर स्थित रहते हो. ऋत्विज् तुम्हारे यज्ञकर्मो में लगे रहते हैं. तुम दोनों सोमरस पीने के लिए कुशों पर बैठो. (२)
Oh my friend and Varun! You remain in your place because of the fasts that hold the world. The ritwijas are engaged in your yajnakarmas. You both sit on the cushions to drink somras. (2)

हे मित्र व वरुण! तुम दोनों हमारे यज्ञों को अपनी इच्छापूर्ति के लिए स्वीकार करो. तुम दोनों सोमरस पीने के लिए कुशों पर बैठो. (३)
