ऋग्वेद (मंडल 6)
इ॒मा उ॑ त्वा पुरु॒तम॑स्य का॒रोर्हव्यं॑ वीर॒ हव्या॑ हवन्ते । धियो॑ रथे॒ष्ठाम॒जरं॒ नवी॑यो र॒यिर्विभू॑तिरीयते वच॒स्या ॥ (१)
हे शूर इंद्र! अधिक यज्ञकर्म की अभिलाषा करने वाले भरद्वाज नामक स्तोता की प्रशंसनीय स्तुतियां तुझ बुलाने योग्य को बुलाती हैं. हे रथ में बैठे हुए, जरारहित एवं अतिशय नवीन इंद्र! श्रेष्ठ विभूतियां हव्यान्न के रूप में तुम्हें प्राप्त होती हैं. (१)
O Shur Indra! The praiseworthy praises of a hymn named Bharadwaj, who aspires for more yajnakarma, call upon you to be called. O you sitting in the chariot, the uninitiated and very new Indra! You get the best personalities as a hobby. (1)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 6)
तमु॑ स्तुष॒ इन्द्रं॒ यो विदा॑नो॒ गिर्वा॑हसं गी॒र्भिर्य॒ज्ञवृ॑द्धम् । यस्य॒ दिव॒मति॑ म॒ह्ना पृ॑थि॒व्याः पु॑रुमा॒यस्य॑ रिरि॒चे म॑हि॒त्वम् ॥ (२)
हम उन इंद्र की स्तुति करते हैं जो सब कुछ जानते हैं, स्तुतियों द्वारा पाने योग्य हैं एवं य॒ज्ञो द्वारा उन्नत हुए हैं. परम बुद्धिमान् इंद्र की महत्ता धरती और आकाश से भी अधिक है. (२)
We praise Indra who knows everything, is worthy of praise and has been advanced by yayogyas. The importance of the most intelligent Indra is more than the earth and the sky. (2)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 6)
स इत्तमो॑ऽवयु॒नं त॑त॒न्वत्सूर्ये॑ण व॒युन॑वच्चकार । क॒दा ते॒ मर्ता॑ अ॒मृत॑स्य॒ धामेय॑क्षन्तो॒ न मि॑नन्ति स्वधावः ॥ (३)
इंद्र ने ही ज्ञाननाशक एवं वृत्र द्वारा विस्तृत अंधकार को सूर्य के द्वारा प्रकाशवान् बनाया है. हे बलशाली एवं मरणरहित इंद्र! तुम्हारे स्वर्ग के उद्देश्य से यज्ञ करने के इच्छुक लोग किसी की हिंसा नहीं करते. (३)
It is Indra who has made the darkness of the sun light through the sun through the destroyer of knowledge and vrithra. O mighty and dieless Indra! Those who wish to perform yajna for the purpose of your heavenly pursuit do not violence to anyone. (3)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 6)
यस्ता च॒कार॒ स कुह॑ स्वि॒दिन्द्रः॒ कमा जनं॑ चरति॒ कासु॑ वि॒क्षु । कस्ते॑ य॒ज्ञो मन॑से॒ शं वरा॑य॒ को अ॒र्क इ॑न्द्र कत॒मः स होता॑ ॥ (४)
जिस इंद्र ने प्रसिद्ध कर्म किए हैं वे कहां हैं, किन लोगों के बीच घूमते हैं एवं किस दिशा में स्थित हैं? इंद्र! कौन सा यज्ञ तुम्हारे मन को सुख देता है? कीन सा मंत्र तुम्हारा वरण करता है? तुम्हें वरण करने वाला होता कीन सा है? (४)
Where are the Indras who have performed the famous deeds, between which people do they move and in which direction are they located? Indra! Which yajna brings happiness to your mind? What kind of mantra does you choose? What kind of choice would you have to choose? (4)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 6)
इ॒दा हि ते॒ वेवि॑षतः पुरा॒जाः प्र॒त्नास॑ आ॒सुः पु॑रुकृ॒त्सखा॑यः । ये म॑ध्य॒मास॑ उ॒त नूत॑नास उ॒ताव॒मस्य॑ पुरुहूत बोधि ॥ (५)
हे अनेक कर्म करने वाले इंद्र! पूर्व काल में उत्पन्न होने वाले अंगिरा आदि प्राचीन ऋषियों ने वर्तमान काल के समान कार्य करके तुम्हारी मित्रता प्राप्त की थी. मध्यकालीन एवं नवीन ऋषियों ने भी तुम्हारी स्तुति की है. हे बहुतों द्वारा बुलाए गए इंद्र! तुम मुझ अर्वाचीन भरद्वाज की स्तुतियों को जानो. (५)
O Indra, who does many things! The ancient sages, such as Angira, who originated in the earlier period, had obtained your friendship by acting like in the present period. Medieval and new sages have also praised you. O Indra called by many! You know the praises of me, the ancient Bharadwaj. (5)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 6)
तं पृ॒च्छन्तोऽव॑रासः॒ परा॑णि प्र॒त्ना त॑ इन्द्र॒ श्रुत्यानु॑ येमुः । अर्चा॑मसि वीर ब्रह्मवाहो॒ यादे॒व वि॒द्म तात्त्वा॑ म॒हान्त॑म् ॥ (६)
हे शूर, मंत्रों द्वारा प्राप्त करने योग्य एवं उक्त गुणों से युक्त इंद्र! नवीन ऋषि तुम्हारी स्तुति करते हुए तुम्हारे प्राचीन एवं उत्कृष्ट कार्यो को मंत्र वचनों के द्वारा बांधने का प्रयत्न करते हैं. हम जो बातें जानते हैं, उन्हीं के द्वारा तुझ महान् की पूजा करते हैं. (६)
O Shura, Indra, worthy of being attained by mantras and possessing the above qualities! The new sages praise you and try to bind your ancient and excellent works with mantra words. We worship You the Great through the things we know. (6)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 6)
अ॒भि त्वा॒ पाजो॑ र॒क्षसो॒ वि त॑स्थे॒ महि॑ जज्ञा॒नम॒भि तत्सु ति॑ष्ठ । तव॑ प्र॒त्नेन॒ युज्ये॑न॒ सख्या॒ वज्रे॑ण धृष्णो॒ अप॒ ता नु॑दस्व ॥ (७)
हे इंद्र! राक्षसों की सेना तुम्हारे सामने खड़ी होती है. तुम भी उस महान् एवं उन्नत सेना के सामने डट जाओ. हे शत्रु पराभवकारी इंद्र! तुम प्राचीन, साथ रखने योग्य एवं नित्य- सहायक वज्र द्वारा उन्हें दूर भगाओ. (७)
O Indra! An army of demons stands before you. You also stand in front of that great and advanced army. O enemy defeater Indra! You drive them away by the ancient, with the keepable and the eternally helpful thunderbolt. (7)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 6)
स तु श्रु॑धीन्द्र॒ नूत॑नस्य ब्रह्मण्य॒तो वी॑र कारुधायः । त्वं ह्या॒३॒॑पिः प्र॒दिवि॑ पितॄ॒णां शश्व॑द्ब॒भूथ॑ सु॒हव॒ एष्टौ॑ ॥ (८)
हे स्तोताओं के रक्षक एवं वीर इंद्र! आधुनिक एवं स्तुति करने के इच्छुक हम लोगों के वचनों को तुम सुनो. तुम्हीं यज्ञ में सुंदर आह्वान सुनकर अंगिरागोत्रीय ऋषियों के चिरकाल बंधु बने थें. (८)
He is the protector of the hymns and the heroic Indra! Listen to the words of us who are modern and willing to praise. You had become the eternal brothers of the Angiragotrian sages by listening to the beautiful invocations in the yajna. (8)
