ऋग्वेद (मंडल 7)
जु॒षस्व॑ नः स॒मिध॑मग्ने अ॒द्य शोचा॑ बृ॒हद्य॑ज॒तं धू॒ममृ॒ण्वन् । उप॑ स्पृश दि॒व्यं सानु॒ स्तूपैः॒ सं र॒श्मिभि॑स्ततनः॒ सूर्य॑स्य ॥ (१)
हे अग्नि! आज हमारी समिधा को स्वीकार करो. यज्ञ के योग्य एवं प्रशंसनीय धुआं उठाते हुए जलों एवं अपनी गर्म लपटों से ऊंचे आकाश को छुओ. तुम सूर्य से मिल जाओ. (१)
O agni! Accept our committee today. Touch the sky high with the waters and your warm flames, lifting the worthy and admirable smoke of the yajna. You meet the sun. (1)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 7)
नरा॒शंस॑स्य महि॒मान॑मेषा॒मुप॑ स्तोषाम यज॒तस्य॑ य॒ज्ञैः । ये सु॒क्रत॑वः॒ शुच॑यो धियं॒धाः स्वद॑न्ति दे॒वा उ॒भया॑नि ह॒व्या ॥ (२)
जो देव शोभनकर्म वाले, तेजस्वी, यज्ञकर्मो के धारक एवं दोनों प्रकार के हव्यों को स्वीकार करने वाले हैं, हम उन देवों के बीच में यज्ञयोग्य एवं मनुष्यों द्वारा प्रशंसनीय अग्नि की महिमा का वर्णन स्तुतियों द्वारा करते हैं. (२)
The gods who are adorned, brilliant, the bearer of yajnakarma and the one who accepts both kinds of human beings, we describe through the praises the glory of the sacrificial agni and admirable by human beings among those gods. (2)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 7)
ई॒ळेन्यं॑ वो॒ असु॑रं सु॒दक्ष॑म॒न्तर्दू॒तं रोद॑सी सत्य॒वाच॑म् । म॒नु॒ष्वद॒ग्निं मनु॑ना॒ समि॑द्धं॒ सम॑ध्व॒राय॒ सद॒मिन्म॑हेम ॥ (३)
हे अध्वर्युगण! तुम स्तुति के योग्य, शक्तिशाली, शोभनबुद्धि वाले, धरती-आकाश के बीच में देवों के दूतरूप में विचरण करने वाले, सत्यवचन, मनुष्य के समान और मन द्वारा प्रज्वलित अग्नि को यज्ञ के लिए पूजते हो. (३)
O teacher! You worship the agni, worthy of praise, powerful, well-intentioned, wandering in the midst of the earth and the sky in the form of angels of the gods, the truth, like man and the agni ignited by the mind, for the sacrifice. (3)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 7)
स॒प॒र्यवो॒ भर॑माणा अभि॒ज्ञु प्र वृ॑ञ्जते॒ नम॑सा ब॒र्हिर॒ग्नौ । आ॒जुह्वा॑ना घृ॒तपृ॑ष्ठं॒ पृष॑द्व॒दध्व॑र्यवो ह॒विषा॑ मर्जयध्वम् ॥ (४)
सेवा करने के अभिलाषी एवं घुटनों के सहारे बैठकर पात्रों में सोमरस भरते हुए अध्वर्यु हव्य के साथ अग्नि को बर्हि देते हैं. हे अध्वर्युगण! घी से भीगे हुए एवं बड़ी-बड़ी बूंदों वाले बर्हि को हव्य के साथ अग्नि में वहन करो. (४)
Those who want to serve and sit on their knees and fill the somaras in the characters and fill the somras in the characters and pour out the agni with the adhwaryu havan. O teacher! Carry the barhi, soaked in ghee and with large drops, in the agni with a havya. (4)

स्वा॒ध्यो॒३॒॑ वि दुरो॑ देव॒यन्तोऽशि॑श्रयू रथ॒युर्दे॒वता॑ता । पू॒र्वी शिशुं॒ न मा॒तरा॑ रिहा॒णे सम॒ग्रुवो॒ न सम॑नेष्वञ्जन् ॥ (५)
शोभनकर्म वाले, देवों की अभिलाषा करने वाले एवं रथ चाहने वाले लोगों ने यज्ञ में द्वारों का सहारा लिया, अध्वर्युगण यज्ञ में प्राचीना जुहू एवं उपभृति को नदी के समान घी से सींचते हैं. वे अग्नि को इसी प्रकार चाटती हैं, जिस प्रकार गाय अपने बछड़े को चाटती है. (५)
Those who wish for the gods, who wish for the chariots, resorted to the gates in the yajna, the adhwaryugans irrigate the ancient juhu and upabhriti in the yajna with ghee like a river. They lick agni in the same way that a cow licks its calf. (5)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 7)
उ॒त योष॑णे दि॒व्ये म॒ही न॑ उ॒षासा॒नक्ता॑ सु॒दुघे॑व धे॒नुः । ब॒र्हि॒षदा॑ पुरुहू॒ते म॒घोनी॒ आ य॒ज्ञिये॑ सुवि॒ताय॑ श्रयेताम् ॥ (६)
युवा, दिव्य, महान्, कुशों पर बैठे हुए, बहुतों द्वारा स्तुत, संपत्ति के स्वामी एवं यज्ञ के पात्र निशा-दिवस कामधेनु गाय के समान कल्याण के निमित्त हमारा आश्रय लें. (६)
Young, divine, great, sitting on the kushas, praised by many, the lord of property and the character of the yagna, nisha-din kamdhenu take shelter for the sake of the welfare of the cow. (6)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 7)
विप्रा॑ य॒ज्ञेषु॒ मानु॑षेषु का॒रू मन्ये॑ वां जा॒तवे॑दसा॒ यज॑ध्यै । ऊ॒र्ध्वं नो॑ अध्व॒रं कृ॑तं॒ हवे॑षु॒ ता दे॒वेषु॑ वनथो॒ वार्या॑णि ॥ (७)
हे मेधावी, धनसंपन्न एवं मनुष्यों द्वारा किए जा रहे यज्ञों में काम करने वाले होताओ! मैं यज्ञ करने के हेतु तुम्हारी स्तुति करता हूं. स्तुतियां पूर्ण हो जाने पर हमारे यज्ञ को देवों की ओर प्रेरित करो एवं देवों के पास विद्यमान धन हमें दो. (७)
O you are brilliant, rich and doomed to work in the yagnas performed by human beings! I praise you for performing yajna. When the praises are fulfilled, motivate our yajna towards the gods and give us the money that the devas have. (7)

आ भार॑ती॒ भार॑तीभिः स॒जोषा॒ इळा॑ दे॒वैर्म॑नु॒ष्ये॑भिर॒ग्निः । सर॑स्वती सारस्व॒तेभि॑र॒र्वाक्ति॒स्रो दे॒वीर्ब॒र्हिरेदं स॑दन्तु ॥ (८)
सूर्य की पत्नी भारती अर्थात् अग्नि सूर्यसंबंधियों तथा इस मनुष्यलोक के देवों के साथ आवें. सरस्वती मध्यस्थित देवों के साथ पधारें. तीनों देवियां यज्ञ में कुशों पर बैठे. (८)
The wife of the sun, Bharathi, i.e., Agni should come with the suryarishyas and the gods of this man.' Come with saraswati mediated gods. The three ladies sat on the kushas in the yajna. (8)
