ऋग्वेद (मंडल 7)
प्र द्यावा॑ य॒ज्ञैः पृ॑थि॒वी नमो॑भिः स॒बाध॑ ईळे बृह॒ती यज॑त्रे । ते चि॒द्धि पूर्वे॑ क॒वयो॑ गृ॒णन्तः॑ पु॒रो म॒ही द॑धि॒रे दे॒वपु॑त्रे ॥ (१)
मैं ऋत्विजों सहित उसी यज्ञयोग्य एवं विस्तृत द्यावा-पृथिवी की स्तुति यज्ञों एवं नमस्कारों के साथ करता हूं, जो विशाल एवं देवों को जन्म देने वाली हैं एवं प्राचीन कवियों ने स्तुति करते हुए जिन्हें सबसे आगे रखा था. (१)
I praise the same sacrificial and elaborate dyava-prithvivi, including the Ritvijs, with yajnas and salutations, which are going to give birth to the giants and devas, and the ancient poets who were placed at the forefront of praise. (1)

प्र पू॑र्व॒जे पि॒तरा॒ नव्य॑सीभिर्गी॒र्भिः कृ॑णुध्वं॒ सद॑ने ऋ॒तस्य॑ । आ नो॑ द्यावापृथिवी॒ दैव्ये॑न॒ जने॑न यातं॒ महि॑ वां॒ वरू॑थम् ॥ (२)
हे स्तोताओ! तुम अपनी नवीन स्तुतियों द्वारा पूर्व-उत्पन्न, माता-पितारूप एवं यज्ञ के स्थान द्यावा-पृथिवी को सबसे आगे स्थापित करो. हे द्यावा-पृथिवी! तुम अपना महान् एवं उत्तम धन देने के लिए देवों के साथ हमारे समीप आओ. (२)
This stotao! You, through your new praises, establish the pre-originated, the parenthood and the place of yajna, the dyava-prithvivi at the forefront. This is the earth! Come to us with the gods to give you your great and best wealth. (2)

उ॒तो हि वां॑ रत्न॒धेया॑नि॒ सन्ति॑ पु॒रूणि॑ द्यावापृथिवी सु॒दासे॑ । अ॒स्मे ध॑त्तं॒ यदस॒दस्कृ॑धोयु यू॒यं पा॑त स्व॒स्तिभिः॒ सदा॑ नः ॥ (३)
हे द्यावा-पृथिवी! शोभनहव्यदाता यजमान को देने के लिए तुम्हारे पास अधिक उत्तम धन है. तुम नष्ट होने वाला धन हमें दो. हे देवो! तुम कल्याणसाधनों द्वारा हमारी सदा रक्षा करो. (३)
This is the earth! You have more money to give to the host of the giver. You give us the money that will be destroyed. Oh, God! You always protect us by means of welfare. (3)
