ऋग्वेद: | सूक्त: 98
इन्द्रा॑य सोम॒ पात॑वे वृत्र॒घ्ने परि॑ षिच्यसे । नरे॑ च॒ दक्षि॑णावते दे॒वाय॑ सदना॒सदे॑ ॥ (१०)
हे सोम! तुम वृत्रहंता इंद्र के पान हेतु पात्रों में निचोड़े जाते हो. तुम ऋत्विजों को दक्षिणा देने वाले एवं देवों को हव्य देने की इच्छा से यज्ञशाला में बैठे हुए यजमान को फल देने के लिए निचोड़े जाते हो. (१०)
Hey Mon! You are squeezed into the vessels for the paan of Vrithrahanta Indra. You are squeezed to bear fruit to the host sitting in the yajnashala with the desire to give dakshina to the ritvijs and to give a greeting to the gods. (10)
