सामवेद: | खंड: 3
अग्निर्मूर्धा दिवः ककुत्पतिः पृथिव्या अयम् । अपाँ रेताँसि जिन्वति ॥ (७)
हे अग्नि! आप सर्वोच्च (सब से ऊंचे) हैं. आप स्वर्गलोक और पृथ्वीलोक का पालन करने वाले हैं. आप इन के स्वामी हैं. आप जल के सारे जीवों को जीवन देते हैं और काम में लगाते हैं. (७)
O agni! You are supreme (highest). You are going to follow paradise and earth. You are the master of these. You give life to all the creatures of water and put them to work. (7)
