सामवेद (अध्याय 18)
पिबा सुतस्य रसिनो मत्स्वा न इन्द्र गोमतः । आपिर्नो बोधि सधमाद्ये वृधे३ऽस्माँ अवन्तु ते धियः ॥ (७)
हे इंद्र! आप के पुत्रों ने रसीला सोमरस तैयार किया है. आप उस को पी कर मस्त होइए. आप उस से अपनी और हमारी बढ़ोतरी कीजिए. आप हमें गोमति (सुबुद्धिवान) बनाइए. आप अपनी बुद्धियों से हमारी बुद्धि की रक्षा कीजिए. (७)
O Indra! Your sons have prepared a lush someras. You're cool to drink it. You increase yourself and us from that. You make us gomati (enlightened). You protect our intellects with your intellects. (7)
