सामवेद (अध्याय 20)
अग्निर्मूर्धा दिवः ककुत्पतिः पृथिव्या अयम् । अपाँ रेताँसि जिन्वति ॥ (९)
हे अग्नि! आप मूर्धन्य, स्वर्गलोकवासी व पृथ्वी के पालनहार हैं. आप जलों को अपने में समाहित किए रहते हैं. (९)
O agni! You are foolish, heavenly and sustainer of the earth. You keep the water absorbed in you. (9)
