सामवेद (अध्याय 6)
अग्निरस्मि जन्मना जातवेदा घृतं मे चक्षुरमृतं म आसन् । त्रिधातुरर्को रजसो विमानोऽजस्रं ज्योतिर्हविरस्मि सर्वम् ॥ (१२)
मैं (आत्मा) जन्म से ही अग्नि स्वरूप हूं. सब कुछ जानने वाला हूं, प्रकाशमान हूं. मुंह में अमरता देने वाली वाणी है. मैं प्राण, अपान, व्यान इन तीनों प्रकार का प्राण हूं, आकाश को नापने वाला वायु हूं, प्रकाशमान सूर्य हूं, सभी की हवि हूं. (१२)
I (atma) have been the form of agni since birth. I am going to know everything, I am illuminated. There is an immortality speech in the mouth. I am the life of all three types of life, Apan, Vyana, I am the air that measures the sky, I am the shining sun, I am the havi of everyone. (12)
