यजुर्वेद (अध्याय 15)
आ वा॒चो मध्य॑मरुहद् भुर॒ण्युर॒यम॒ग्निः सत्प॑ति॒श्चेकि॑तानः। पृ॒ष्ठे पृ॑थि॒व्या निहि॑तो॒ दवि॑द्युतदधस्प॒दं कृ॑णुतां॒ ये पृ॑त॒न्यवः॑ ॥ (५१)
हे अग्नि! आप संसार का भरणपोषण करते हैं. आप सत्पति व चैतन्य हैं और पृथ्वी के पृष्ठ भाग पर स्थित हैं. आप स्वर्गलोक को भी दयुतिमान बनाते हैं. हम पवित्र मंत्रों से आप की स्थापना करते हैं. जो शक्तिशाली हमें नष्ट करना चाहते हैं, आप उन्हें नष्ट करने की कृपा करें. (५१)
O agni! You feed the world. You are Satpati and Chaitanya and are located on the surface of the earth. You also make heaven a divine. We establish you with holy mantras. Those powerful want to destroy us, please destroy them. (51)
