यजुर्वेद:
अ॒व॒तत्य॒ धनु॒ष्ट्व सह॑स्राक्ष॒ शते॑षुधे। नि॒शीर्य॑ श॒ल्यानां॒ मुखा॑ शि॒वो नः॑ सु॒मना॑ भव ॥ (१३)
हे रुद्र देव! आप हजारों आंखों वाले व सैकड़ों तरकस वाले हैं. आप बाणों के मुंह निकाल दीजिए. बाणों के मुंह हमारे लिए कल्याणकारी हों. हम अच्छे मन बाले हों. (१३)
O Rudra Dev! You have thousands of eyes and hundreds of quivers. Remove the mouth of the arrows. The mouths of arrows should be welfare for us. We are good-minded. (13)
