यजुर्वेद:
नमो॑ बि॒ल्मिने॑ च॒ कव॒चिने॑ च॒ नमो॑ व॒र्मिणे॑ च वरू॒थिने॑ च॒ नमः॑ श्रु॒ताय॑ च श्रुतसे॒नाय॑ च॒ नमो॑ दुन्दु॒भ्याय चाहन॒न्याय च ॥ (३५)
सिर की रक्षा हेतु धारण करने वाले (उपकरण) के लिए नमन. कवचधारी के लिए नमन. रथ के भीतर या हाथी के हौदे में बैठने बाले के लिए नमन. प्रख्यात के लिए नमन. प्रख्यात सेना के लिए नमन. दुंदुभि व वाद्य वाले के लिए नमन. (३५)
Salutations to the device that protects the head. Salutations to the armored. Salutations to those sitting inside the chariot or in an elephant's hood. Salutations to the eminent. Salute to the renowned army. Salutations to the man who is a musical instrument. (35)
