यजुर्वेद (अध्याय 18)
वाजा॑य॒ स्वाहा॑ प्रस॒वाय॒ स्वाहा॑पि॒जाय॒ स्वाहा॒ क्रत॑वे॒ स्वाहा॒ वस॑वे॒ स्वाहा॑ह॒र्पत॑ये॒ स्वाहाह्ने॑ मु॒ग्धाय॒ स्वाहा॑ मु॒ग्धाय॒ वैनꣳशि॒नाय॒ स्वाहा॑ विन॒ꣳशिन॑ऽआन्त्याय॒नाय॒ स्वाहान्त्या॑य भौव॒नाय॒ स्वाहा॒ भुव॑नस्य॒ पत॑ये॒ स्वाहाधि॑पतये॒ स्वाहा॑ प्र॒जाप॑तये॒ स्वाहा॑। इ॒यं ते॒ राण्मि॒त्राय॑ य॒न्तासि॒ यम॑नऽऊ॒र्जे त्वा॒ वृष्ट्यै॑ त्वा प्र॒जानां॒ त्वाधि॑पत्याय ॥ (२८)
यह आहुति अन्न रूप चैत्र मास के लिए समर्पित है. यह आहुति प्रसव रूप वैशाख, मास के लिए समर्पित है. यह आहुति जलक्रीड़ा आदि में आनंददायक ज्येष्ठ मास के लिए है. यह आहुति क्रतु रूप आषाढ़ मास के लिए है. यह आहुति चातुर्मास में यात्रा निषेधक वसु रूप श्रावण मास के लिए है. यह आहुति भाद्र मास के लिए है. यह आहुति मनमोहक आश्विन मास के लिए है. यह आहुति कार्तिक मास के लिए है. यह आहुति विष्णु रूप मार्गशीर्ष मास के लिए है. यह आहुति पौष मास के लिए है. यह आहुति माघ मास के लिए है. यह आहुति ऋतुराज रूप फाल्गुन मास के लिए है. हे प्रजापति! आप हमारे मित्र के समान हितैषी हैं. आप यज्ञ आदि के बनाने वाले हैं. ऊर्जा और प्रजा की बढ़ोतरी के लिए हम आप को प्रेमपूर्वक प्रणाम करते हैं. This ahuti is for the month of Shravan, the vasu form prohibiting travel in Chaturmas. This sacrifice is for Bhadra month. This sacrifice is for the enchanting Ashwin month. This sacrifice is for Kartik month. This ahuti is for the month of Margashirsha, the form of Vishnu. This sacrifice is for Paush month. This sacrifice is for Magh month. This sacrifice is for the month of Phalgun. O Prajapati! You are as friendly as our friend. You are the maker of yajna etc. We lovingly salute you for the growth of energy and people. (28)
