अध्याय 25 → मंत्र 42 - संस्कृत मंत्र, हिंदी अर्थ और English translation

यजुर्वेद:
एक॒स्त्वष्टु॒रश्व॑स्या विश॒स्ता द्वा य॒न्तारा॑ भवत॒स्तथ॑ऽऋ॒तुः।या ते॒ गात्रा॑णामृतु॒था कृ॒णोमि॒ ताता॒ पिण्डा॑नां॒ प्र जु॑होम्य॒ग्नौ ॥ (४२)
वर्ष त्वष्टा (सूर्य) रूप अश्व को बांटता है. वह उसे दो भागों (उत्तरायण व दक्षिणायन) में बांटता है. दोनों भागों को ऋतुओं (छह) में बांटता है. शरीर के अंगों के स्वास्थ्य के लिए ऋतु के अनुसार पदार्थो की आहुति अग्नि में भेंट की जाती है. (४२)
The year divides the horse in the form of Tashta (Sun). He divides it into two parts (Uttarayan and Dakshinayan). Divides the two parts into seasons (six). For the health of body parts, according to the season, the sacrifice of substances is offered in the agni. (42)
