यजुर्वेद:
त॒रणि॑र्वि॒श्वद॑र्शतो ज्योति॒ष्कृद॑सि सूर्य्य।विश्व॒मा भा॑सि रोच॒नम् ॥ (३६)
हे सूर्य! आप तारक, संसार के लिए दर्शनीय व ज्योति के आविष्कारक है. आप अपने प्रकाश से सब को प्रकाशित करने वाले हैं. (३६)
O sun! You are the star, the visible to the world and the inventor of light. You are going to illuminate everyone with your light. (36)
