यजुर्वेद (अध्याय 34)
स॒हस्तो॑माः स॒हच्छ॑न्दसऽआ॒वृतः॑ स॒हप्र॑मा॒ऽऋष॑यः स॒प्त दैव्याः॑।पूर्वे॑षां॒ पन्था॑मनु॒दृश्य॒ धीरा॑ऽअ॒न्वाले॑भिरे र॒थ्यो̫ न र॒श्मीन् ॥ (४९)
सात ऋषियों ने स्तुतियों के साथ, छंदों के साथ, प्रमाण के साथ दिव्य सृष्टि का प्रादुर्भाव किया. इन ऋषियों ने पूर्व ऋषियों का अनुसरण किया. इन धीर ऋषियों ने बैसे ही इष्ट गंतव्य तक पहुंचाया जैसे लगाम घोड़ों को अपने इष्ट गंतव्य तक पहुंचाती हैं. (४९)
The seven sages manifested divine creation with praises, with verses, with proof. These sages followed the former sages. These dhir rishis took them to the desired destination just as the reins carry horses to their favored destination. (49)
