अथर्ववेद (कांड 19)
शं नः॑ स॒त्यस्य॒ पत॑यो भवन्तु॒ शं नो॒ अर्व॑न्तः॒ शमु॑ सन्तु॒ गावः॑ । शं न॑ ऋ॒भवः॑ सु॒कृतः॑ सु॒हस्ताः॒ शं नो॑ भवन्तु पि॒तरो॒ हवे॑षु ॥ (१)
सत्य का पालन करने वाले देव हमारी शांति के कारण बनें. घोड़े और गाएं हमें शांति देने वाले हों. उत्तम कर्म करने वाले तथा शोभन हाथों वाले देव हमें सुख दें. पितर हमारे स्तोत्रों अथवा मंत्रों को सुन कर सुख देने वाले हों. (१)
May the gods who follow the truth be the cause of our peace. May horses and cows give us peace. May god, who does good deeds and has decent hands, give us happiness. May the ancestors listen to our stotras or mantras and give happiness. (1)
अथर्ववेद (कांड 19)
शं नो॑ दे॒वा वि॒श्वदे॑वा भवन्तु॒ शं सर॑स्वती स॒ह धी॒भिर॑स्तु । शम॑भि॒षाचः॒ शमु॑ राति॒षाचः॒ शं नो॑ दि॒व्याः पार्थि॑वाः॒ शं नो॒ अप्याः॑ ॥ (२)
विश्वे देव एवं इंद्र आदि देव हमें शांति प्रदान करें. हमारी स्तुतियों के साथ सरस्वती हमें सुख देने वाली हों. यज्ञ में चारों ओर से आने वाले एवं दान के हेतु एकत्र होने वाले देवता हमें शांति दें. देव, पृथ्वी पर उत्पन्न होने वाले मनुष्य, पशु आदि तथा आकाश में उड़ने वाले पक्षी हमें सुख दें. (२)
May Vishwe Dev and Indra etc. give us peace. May Saraswati give us happiness with our praises. May the gods coming from all sides in the yajna and gathering for charity give us peace. God, humans born on earth, animals etc. and birds flying in the sky give us happiness. (2)

शं नो॑ अ॒ज एक॑पाद्दे॒वो अ॑स्तु॒ शमहि॑र्बु॒ध्न्यः शं स॑मु॒द्रः । शं नो॑ अ॒पां नपा॑त्पे॒रुर॑स्तु॒ शं नः॒ पृष्णि॑र्भवतु दे॒वगो॑पा ॥ (३)
जन्म न लेने वाले तथा स्थावर जंगम रूप एक चरण वाले एकपाद देव हमें शांति प्रदान करें. अहिर्बुध्न्य नाम के देव एवं सागर हमें सुख दें. अपानपात नाम के देव हमें शांति प्रदान करें तथा दुःखों से पार करने वाले हों. देव जिस की रक्षा करते हैं, ऐसी पृश्नि हमारी रक्षा करे. (३)
May Ekpad Dev, who is not born and has a stable movable form, give us peace. May the god and ocean named Ahirbudhnya give us happiness. May the god named Apanpat give us peace and be the one who overcomes sorrows. May such a page protect us whom God protects us. (3)
अथर्ववेद (कांड 19)
आ॑दि॒त्या रु॒द्रा वस॑वो जुषन्तामि॒दं ब्रह्म॑ क्रि॒यमा॑णं॒ नवी॑यः । शृ॒ण्वन्तु॑ नो दि॒व्याः पार्थि॑वासो॒ गोजा॑ता उ॒त ये य॒ज्ञिया॑सः ॥ (४)
अदिति के पुत्र देव, रुद्र एवं वसु हमारे किए गए इस नवीन स्तोत्र को स्वीकार करें. दिव्य पार्थिव अर्थात् पृथ्वी पर उत्पन्न मनुष्य पशु, वृक्ष आदि, पृश्नि से उत्पन्न मरुत् नाम के देव तथा यज्ञ के योग्य देव हमारी रक्षा करें. (४)
Aditi's sons Dev, Rudra and Vasu should accept this new hymn made by us. May the divine earthly, that is, human animals, trees, etc., the god of the name Marut born from the earth and the god worthy of sacrifice protect us. (4)
अथर्ववेद (कांड 19)
ये दे॒वाना॑मृ॒त्विजो॑ य॒ज्ञिया॑सो॒ मनो॒र्यज॑त्रा अ॒मृता॑ ऋत॒ज्ञाः । ते नो॑ रासन्तामुरुगा॒यम॒द्य यू॒यं पा॑त स्व॒स्तिभिः॒ सदा॑ नः ॥ (५)
देवताओं के ऋत्विज्, यज्ञकर्ता, मनु के पुत्र अर्थात् मनुष्य, अमृतत्व को प्राप्त तथा सत्यनिष्ठ देवता हैं, वे आज हमें अधिक यज्ञ प्रदान करें. हे देवताओ! तुम कल्याणकारी रक्षा साधनों से सदा हमारी रक्षा करो. (५)
The Ritvijas of the gods, the yajnakars, the sons of Manu, that is, human beings, attain nectar and are truthful deities, may they give us more yajna today. O gods! May you always protect us with welfare safeguards. (5)
अथर्ववेद (कांड 19)
तद॑स्तु मित्रावरुणा॒ तद॑ग्ने॒ शं योर॒स्मभ्य॑मि॒दम॑स्तु श॒स्तम् । अ॑शी॒महि॑ गा॒धमु॒त प्र॑ति॒ष्ठां नमो॑ दि॒वे बृ॑ह॒ते साद॑नाय ॥ (६)
हे मित्र और वरुण! हमें कहा जाता हुआ फल प्राप्त हो. भयों एवं रोगों से रक्षा करने वाला प्रशंसनीय फल हमें प्राप्त हो. हम धन लाभ और प्रतिष्ठा का अनुभव करें. विशाल एवं सभी देवों के निवासस्थान ह्युलोक को नमस्कार है. (६)
O friend and Varuna! May we get the said result. May we get the praiseworthy result that protects us from fears and diseases. We experience wealth gain and prestige. Salutations to Hyulok, the vast and abode of all the gods. (6)
